Chronopolis

Chronopolis is a 1982 animated film directed by Polish animator Piotr Kamler. It took Kamler half a decade to put the film together since he was the only person who could create the visual effects. The film depicts a surreal city inhabited by immortals who are jaded with their eternal life and spend most of their time monotonously constructing and deconstruting bizarre objects, and ultimately start tinkering with time itself. The 52 minute film is an beatiful example of animated filmmaking and also one of the earliest employing CGI (computer-generated imagery).
